Supreme Commander Review

9.6/10

Supreme Commander

This game rules all other RTS’s. Seriously, this game is bigger than any other before it and really does well with it scale.

Graphics: This game, while it will not blow you away with its graphics, it suits the game very well. Of course, if the graphics were too good, you couldn’t play the game, for the immense frame rate slowdowns. (10/10)

Interface: This is where SupCom really distinguishes itself. It has a different presentation, in that there is no mini-map. The screen is the mini map. You make heavy use of the scroll wheel, to zoom in and out and control your units. Plus, to chain order your units is a breeze. Just shift+click and they will do those things in order, including moving, repairing, building or attacking. (10/10)
Sound: Good but not disguished, like the rest of the game. (9/10)

Single Player: The AI in this game is astounding. You can choose your enemy’s playing type. I have not had a chance to finish the campaign yet, because the multiplayer is so much better. (9/10)

Multiplayer: I love this part. Supreme Commander appearing has this unnecessary third party application called GPGnet. But, this is a really awesome application. It actually auto-matches you with other players. Also, you have the option of writing replays of all your online games. I actually like this, so you can go back into the replay vault, and look at what happened then. It also saves all your replays in this vault. Unfortunately, there can only be one account per CD key. (9/10)
